New Delhi, [India], April 04, 2025: The Jai Ho Foundation proudly honored Mrs. Anca Verma, former Miss Universe Romania and Chairperson of Olialia World, with the ‘Global Youth Women Icon 2025’ award on 27 March 2025. The award ceremony took place in New Delhi and recognised Mrs. Verma’s exceptional contribution to social welfare, highlighting her efforts in philanthropy, education, women’s empowerment, and community development.
The Jai Ho Foundation was established in 2014 by social activist and philanthropist Tarun Tiwari. Driven by Mr. Tiwari’s zeal for women’s empowerment and rural social-economic development, it has developed into an NGO actively improving education, healthcare, environmental conservation, and human rights advocacy. Over the decade, the foundation has initiated some trailblazing projects, including EGATP, which improved digital literacy for their beneficiaries, and Ayurveda Health Camps, providing free medical care to thousands of people. The foundation has also led impactful road safety awareness, sanitation, and women empowerment programs, inspiring change across communities.
Mrs. Anca Verma, former Miss Universe Romania and Chairperson of Olialia World, is an acclaimed business leader and philanthropist. She is also the Managing Trustee of Shrikant Verma Trust and fights for animal welfare, education, poverty alleviation, human rights, and environmental sustainability.
The Shrikant Verma Trust was a tribute to the poet and politician Shrikant Verma. It was established in 1989 by his son Abhishekh Verma to promote socio-economic welfare activities in the field of education, fine arts, cultural heritage and community welfare. Run by Mrs. Verma, the Trust has also started global initiatives like the “HungerFreeWorld.”
