New Delhi: As the wedding season is around the corner, Asha Gautam has launched its new collection of Shararas and Anarkalis, voluminously showcasing the grandeur of the celebrations. The collection for the wedding season is meant for the bride or the groom women brigade who want to look best at the wedding event.
An amalgamation of many crafts from around the country, the collection has bandhani juxtaposed with kanjeevaram and banarasi paired with bandhani along with heavy embroidered kurtas and anarkalis.
The vibrant colours in silks and organzas add energy to the winter wedding feels. Bandhani-kanjeevaram shararas paired with embroidered kurta make a statement in the collection. Banarasi and bandhani paired in a set also stand out. Paithani anarkalis and heavily embroidered flares of anarkalis with figure motifs and abstract geometrics ask in for attention.
“At Asha Gautam, we are continuously working on more silhouettes and styles using our rich textiles.”We have worked very hard over the past two years to reengineer Indian weaves to create a more evolved look,” designer Gautam Gupta says.
