Pradeepthi Vissamsetti, mother of two wonderful kids believes in women empowerment and believes when women come together incredible things can happen. With a strong passion to create a safe space for women she started to explore how to bring women onto a single platform. She observed that with the increase in nuclear families, mothers are taking on a lot of responsibilities in managing kids, day-to-day chores, and professional work all at the same time. Looking at moms like her made her to think of creating a comfort zone for all mothers. To support mothers emotionally and financially, she started a facebook community called ‘Telugu Moms Network’. In her community she encourages mothers to express and share their thoughts in their mother tongue Telugu; she started this group in September 2019.
Members of Telugu Moms Network discuss and interact on different topics like health, kids achievements, business promotions, success stories, gardening, cooking, movies, and various issues that interest mothers; expert talks find place in the group for mothers to overcome day to day challenges on various aspects.
Now the community is growing strong with more than 28,000+ mothers from across the globe. This amazing community is selected for ‘Facebook Community Accelerator Program 2022’ a global program to support facebook communities. In this program, the community leaders are given coaching, development plans and are also connected with many other likeminded community leaders. Telugu Moms Network is the only South Indian community that is selected for this global program by Meta this year.
Telugu Moms Network is one of the most engaged facebook communities, to make this happen, Pradeepthi Vissamsetti along with her co-admin Swapna Vinnakota come up with new ideas together to engage the mothers and create awareness on various things related to mothers. As per the schedule in the community, they engage the members with impactful contests, question and answers, fun activities, etc.
There are many mom entrepreneurs who are getting benefited and are able to earn decent amount of money to support their families by various business opportunities provided by the community. There are many prospects like weekly business promotions, monthly business club, and facebook live market to promote their businesses in a unique way. A mother and member of the community Rajitha Dilip says, “I used to promote my jewellery business only through youtube, but once I joined Telugu Moms Network my business flourished tenfold and I didn’t look back.
