Kavita Sentu’s journey reflects a blend of resilience, entrepreneurship, and purpose-driven growth shaped by early life responsibilities and evolving personal experiences.
Born in Mumbai, raised in Delhi, and now based in Bhiwadi for over a decade, her path has been marked by both personal and professional transitions. Coming from a Christian family and later marrying into a Jaat household, she represents a convergence of cultures, adapting and evolving through different phases of life.
Her professional journey began early. At the age of 20, she took on multiple jobs to support her mother and contribute to her household. These early experiences laid the foundation for her work ethic and shaped her approach toward financial independence and responsibility.
In 2019, Kavita Sentu took a significant entrepreneurial step by launching her event company, Extravagance Events. As part of her initial efforts, she organised a reality-based dance competition, Spotlight Fight, in Bhiwadi. The venture marked her entry into the events space, backed by personal investment and a clear vision to build something of her own.
However, the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic shortly after disrupted her early progress. Like many small businesses, her venture faced uncertainty, forcing her to reassess and rebuild.
Kavita chose to continue.
Over time, she re-established her presence in the market, gradually scaling her event business while also expanding into the interiors segment with Gatik Aluminum and Glass. Today, she operates across both domains, managing projects and creating platforms that extend beyond commercial objectives.
A key aspect of her work through Extravagance Events is its focus on supporting small businesswomen. Through curated events and initiatives, she aims to provide visibility and opportunities for women entrepreneurs, enabling them to grow and connect within a structured ecosystem.
Alongside her entrepreneurial work, Kavita is also actively involved in advocating for animal welfare. She uses her platform to raise awareness around better care, treatment, and shelter solutions for animals, reflecting a broader commitment to social impact.
Her journey has also been recognised through her title as VG Mrs. India Global Icon – Warrior. The recognition marks a milestone in her personal and professional journey, adding to her visibility and reinforcing her role as a voice for empowerment.
For Kavita, achievements are defined not just by recognition but by progress — from building her business from the ground up to purchasing her own home and creating a stable foundation for herself.
